Well, ladies and gentlemen, for those of you who have been following my misadventures at Sears Holdings, Inc, those misadventures are nearly over.
That's right. No more annoying half-witted employees (well, maybe not)
No more annoying, overly demanding managers.
No more semi-trucks full of merchandise to unload by myself.
No more running up and down to our warehouse because my freaking managers can't make up their freakin minds.
Yes, I have a new job. Not a teaching job yet, but I'm still looking. For now, though, I am slated to become the Assistand Manager of Entertainment Cinemas, the local 6-screen movie house here in town. Pay's about the same, but there are free movies invovled, and a lot less stress (I'm hoping).
So, wish me luck! I start training on Saturday, and I'm going to be going in at odd hours to train while I'm not at Sears.
Other than that, life is pretty good. Got three teaching apps out this week. Fighting with the newspaper company (they can't seem to find our new address.), Cable issues are resolved finally, phone service is up and working. Sara's doing well. I'm tired all the time, but I hope that will change soon.
