RIP Bobby Rhodes

My mother called this evening. One of my high school teachers, Mr. Rhodes, had a massive heart attack and passed away this morning. I'm a little blown away, given that he wasn't much older than my 'rents, and while I never liked his teaching style, he was, as they say, "a good egg". He coached my cousins in spring track and cross country. And he was good friends with Mr. Adams, one of my favorite teachers. I can't begin to imagine how this is going to bring the school to a total standstill. Going to be a rough couple of days. And his family, God...I graduated from HS ahead of both his kids.

Rest in peace, Mr. Rhodes.
