Your quote "I can shimmy with the best of them."
Your mood: "Humble"

Emelios Pidgington’s fingers were blue and numb. The frozen woman on his back did little to heat him up. The princess was suffering from extreme hypothermia. He had wrapped her in every piece of clothing he had but the robe on his back. There was a thick rime of sleety ice in his eyelashes making sight an exercise in futility. He plodded slowly, deliberately through the misty whiteness around him, feeling the last of his strength waning. He had to keep focus. He had to find shelter, or they would die in this wretched ice field, and that was not an option. Trudging in time with the princess’s weak breaths, Emelios spoke to himself to keep focused.

“So, I said to the Captain, we should just run, I am out of fire and acid spells and the smell is just awful. He didn’t go for it. The Captain bleeding from multiple wounds ran out gesticulating and screeching like some aboriginal shaman. I stared slack-jawed and amazed, mimicking the hulking troll. Its confused gape was positively comical, as it tried to decide whether to hurt the strange dancing creature or flee from it. His courageous bluff proved to me how cowardly I was being. A wizard always finds a way no matter the circumstances. So I came out of hiding throwing rocks and stones and shaking by booty for all I was worth. I can shimmy with the best of them, after all.”

He could feel her smile on his neck, and his strength redoubled. They would find shelter if it killed him.

Nicely done! I like the sense of mystery here. Where are they going? Why are they stranded? What princess? Nice little tease here, and excellent use of quote!
Thanks for playing! :)

Thanks for having me! This one I am developing as a fantasty romance from my very own gaming world.

On another note, I am really really really digging Aj and Beth. I am caught up on the canon now I am waiting for the noveau literature! Spur the Muse!

Awesome! Glad you like it. I should have something else to post by midweek, I think. I actually had to go out to the internet and find a family tree program (freeware) to keep track of all the Dawson cousins!

HAH! Totally, I use a painstaking pencil and legal pad method for the ryoal families of this particular world. After almost 10 years I've gone through a lot of pads. I think Heritage.com had a free family tree generator, very much like Vision for Windows. A glorified flowchart.

I can't read my own handwriting, and I'm always losing important papers...this way, there's an electronic record. ;) hehe.

This is a good plan! I am behind this plan 100%!
