Observations

Managing a movie theater is a bit like being a Dad....albeit for one of those giant frontier families with a dozen kids or so. Some of them pitch in and lend a hand in the fields willingly and cheerfully. Others do it because you tell them to...and the rest you have to keep chasing out of the hay loft and MAKE 'em work.

Only bad part is I can't use a belt buckle on 'em here at the theater.

"So help me, boy, if I have to tell you one more time to stop screwing around and get to work..."

Movie stuff

Judi Dench, after Dame Maggie Smith, is by far my favourite British actress. Her wit is so dry, and it comes off so well as "M". She has a great line in the new Bond movie. Bond has just done something stupid, and she's been forced to defend her department in a Cabinet meeting.

"I miss the old days. At least back then, an agent who'd done something this embarassing would at least have the good sense to defect. Christ, I miss the Cold War."

Anyway. I thought it was funny. Maybe you had to be there.
